There is never a dull moment--action from the time she steps outside the bar ...

Mina, Valkyrie extraordinaire, made a decision, followed through and is awaiting the consequences. Not that Mina would sit around waiting for the Powers That Be assassins. But just for one night she's gonna sit at the bar and get drunk...until Sheriff Dan comes in...maybe not. Just because the big gorgeous guy does it for her, and it's been along time since any man got to her, but dealing with a human is what got her in this mess to begin with. So she's gonna let this pass. That was the plan until he follows her and they find a dead man in her hotel. Not just dead but torn to pieces.

They're here and she has to get away from Dan before he become collateral damage. They want her and unless she leads them away, more people will die. He knows something more is going on but not what. There are several shocks in store for the big man. Let's just say he's shocked into joining her for her battle.

I was so excited to see some old friends, and they are vital to this story. There is never a dull moment--action from the time she steps outside the bar to major battles. Then we have the two guys feeling protective of Mina who is no slouch as a Valkarie--gorgeous and deadly--can handle most situations. They may as well pull out the rulers, leaving the ladies just shaking their heads. Chloe reminds us that men are men, no matter shifter or human.

Mina refuses to admit she has a tender heart, but Dan sees it, with his past from Military horrors she is a soft heaven he wants, but she won't endanger another human for reasons you'll need to read. The author amazes me with the battles, loyalty, friendships formed and renewed as well as seeing into a part of the shifter world rarely touched. I loved every word--probably why I was awake until 6 am reading it. A full length, stand alone book with all the characterization, action, emotions and romance you could want.

ANOTHER FABULOUS CHLOE COLE SWOON-WORTHY BOOK

Mina Silva, bad to the bone acting Valkyrie, meets lawman Dan McCafferty in a one horse town and life is never the same again.
Mina changed Dragon shifter Etienne's human mate,Taya, to save Etienne's life. Mina is an empathe and knew he would certainly die without his life's mate by his side. Now the "Council" has a price on her head for not seeking permission, they would not give. Vicious circle! She did what she had to do! This book is filled with action, suspense, lovemaking and intrigue. It has all the components of a great book. I refuse to give away any spoilers, so, buy the book. You won't be disappointed.

Would I Read Future Books By This Author? ABSOLUTELY!!
I received an Advanced Reader Copy from the Author, Chloe Cole, in exchange for an experienced, honest review. I have done so. No one writes shifters like Ms Cole. She has nailed every species she has described-giving them the special characteristics they deserve in their human form. It's truly amazing and very fitting. I often wonder, ' how does she do that?' But I guess this is her special gift and I'm glad she shares it with us. I loved Etienne from the beginning and was happy that he was still in this book. Rene breaks my heart. I adore him and would love to see a HEA for him or should I say HEA-AGAIN. Let's break some more rules. Is it possible, Ms Cole?
The characters were likable, realistic and better than ever.

My favorite in the Montana Wolves/Montana Dragons world so far.

First of all, let me just say how excited I am that this is a full book instead of a serial like the rest of the Montana Wolves/Montana Dragons were. Thank you, Ms. Cole! As a complete work, I think it flows very well, where I tend to find serials a bit choppy, even if I wait until they are all out. This is not a ding against Ms. Cole's serials; I have enjoyed them more than most serials, but I really appreciate a full story.

While you can read this installment in the Montana Dragons series as a stand alone, I think it makes for a much richer reading experience if you have read at least the earlier Montana Dragons, and honestly, the Montana Wolves works before reading Valkyrie's Choice. I liked the glimpses we got of Mina in Etienne and Taya's story, and she did not disappoint here: tough and capable, yet still able to love deeply and show compassion. There are some heroines out there that I think go so far into being tough that emotions feel false on them - not Mina. Even though she tries to avoid close connections because of being hurt in the past, you can feel the connection between her and Dan, as well as her connections to Etienne and her foster-father. I wish we had gotten a bit deeper into Dan, though, because I feel there could be some very interesting things in his backstory. I felt he was a believable character, but I think there is the potential for some novella prequels in his life, especially his time as sheriff.

Ms. Cole really came through on the world-building here as well. We started to see some of the politics at play in earlier Wolves/Dragons books, but we get more structure to the paranormal world here, and a glimpse of the "Council", which oversees the running of the shifter world. I think there are great things Ms. Cole can do with this foundation, and I hope to see more. As much as I love a plain old lust-to-love story, there are honestly only so many variations on that theme an author can do - what is going to keep me coming back is a good backstory, a cast of characters I'm interested in, and a world I can hope actually exists somewhere. Ms. Cole has given us all of those elements.

Overall, I highly recommend this installment in the Montana Dragons world, and if you haven't started from the beginning, I suggest you do so. Ms. Cole's writing style is smooth, the editing is wonderful, and her characters have depth and individuality. I haven't gone wrong with one of her works yet.

Excellent book for people who want to learn biomathematics

This is a very nice book for who has some previous knowledge about college math and wants to apply it to modeling some biological problems. Actually, biomath has become more and more popular in the recent years and this book provides a clear and thorough review for some most interesting topics out there. The book serves well as both textbook and reference book. It is very well written, organized, full of examples and the proofs were given in details whenever necessary. Nothing comes out in a sudden and this is very important for a math book. One feature I particularly like is at the beginning of each chapter, some brief review involving the key math technique is given, which saves a lot of time for people like me who almost completely forgot how to solve ODE. BTW, some of the exercises after each chapter are quite challenging but interesting too. Overall, it is a great book and I would recommend it to anyone who want to gain an overall view of biomathematics.

Not the best book around

I have used this book (along with my own notes) to teach second year university students, and every time the students complain that the book is inaccessible. Only after they've gone through the course they find it usable in the sense that they can go back and look things up. My personal feeling about the book is that it doesn't know which leg to stand on. In some aspects it is quite rigorous, but not in an inviting way, whereas in other places it attempts to speak to the intuition but comes up short. I think a cross between this book and the book by Strogatz would be a great compromise.

This book is concise yet includes all the major approaches to studying mathematical biology. It has plenty of exercises and examples for honing the particular skills needed to study different mathematical model of biological systems. I used it as a reference to help write my thesis.

The origional German edition is cheaper and not much more difficult to use.

The original "Handbuch der literarischen Rhetorik" is far and away the finest reference work on canonical rhetorical forms. But at the only price for which it is offered here, namely $1,202.00, one would really be far better off brushing up on one's German, Latin, Greek or French, since the work is indexed in all of those languages, although, strangely enough, not also in English.

I have advised my students to avoid this text.

On marking student submissions on aircraft design projects last year, I came across a small number of peculiar anomalies, derived from references to an earlier text by this author. When I subsequently saw some more of the authors' work recently, I was horrified by how many factual inaccuracies even a small sample contained. I could not advise anyone to spend money on this book.

My kids love this book

My 9 year old daughter bought this in a gift shop at Disney world. As you can imagine it cost far more than the price posted here on Amazon. It is now a favorite book; my son is 7 and is equally enamored with it. They love all the little tidbits of information about the Disney villas and their childhood/ younger days. It is fun to read the background stories that have contributed to their becoming villains. There are many fold out pictures adding even more interest to this book. If your kids like anything Disney they will love this book.

I bought this book for my son, but I enjoyed it more than he did! I guess it was too much detail for a 5 yr old to handle, but overall , this book is great, just like the other villain books I bought, they lack a lot of the latest disney villain characters.

My daughter is 3 1/2 and loves this book. She is a princess fanatic but somehow has gotten interested in the villians. She looks at it everyday. I think it really is for an older child but she enjoys it anyway. It has many neat features that make it interactive.
