Teacher Voices to Promote Change

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this narrative that tells the development of a staff's understanding of assessment and grading. The stories of teachers and staff members 'ring true' from the beginning words of doubt and struggle to their gradual change. The principal showed an exceptional ability to create a team that led the rest of the staff on a truly ground breaking path.

This is a must read for all schools trying to change the 'rules' around the sacred cow of grading.

Excellent book!

Excellent job explaining the process the author's school used to change assessment. The plan makes sense and has proven to be very effective in helping the school make a drastic turn around in standardized testing results.

I like the idea and hope we can implement it

The Middle School where I work is moving toward this sort of grading and assessment program. I learned a lot from the book and hope to use it as a ready reference as we make the move forward.
